Three Saudi women inventors won medals at the international exhibition of inventions of women in South Korea (KIWIE)

Three Saudi women inventors won medals at the international exhibition of inventions of women (KIWIE), held recently at the Korean capital Seoul, with the participation of 270 competitors from 23 countries. The event, which was held from the 3rd to the 6th of May, aimed to highlight the strength of women as inventors.

Wives of the Egyptian candidates 'To appear or not to appear'

In the midst of the Egyptian presidential race, all candidates pledged to voters that there will be no 'first lady' that will influence the decision making in Egypt as was the case during the reigns of former presidents Anwar Sadat and Hosni Mubarak. It seems the influence of women on their husbands is worrying the Egyptians, but who blames them after the Arab revolutions exposure of the influence of women such as Layla Trabulsi and Suzan Mubarak on their leading husbands.
