‘JOURNEYS’ Part of the Bristol Palestine Film Festival

This wonderful local event brings together some of the most prestigious Bristol-based poets to share a mosaic of experiences from internal journeys of self-exploration to the physical journey to and away from home.

In what proves to be first event of this kind leading international poets of Palestinian, Irish and British heritage will come together to share interpretations of the word ‘journey’.

Palestine Film and Poetry Festival in Bristol

Palestinian poet and Director of Arab Women Media Watch Centre in UK, Iqbal Tamimi will be the special guest at the Film Festival and the Poetry night, an event  that will form part of The Bristol Palestine Film Festival, 2011 (1st – 10th December).

As part of his current tour, fresh off the publication of his new book Poetic Injustice, poet Remi Kanazi performed in London this past weekend with special guests — Palestinian-Canadian poet and activist Rafeef Ziadah, artist/producer of the spoken-word album Hadeel, Syrian-American hip hop star Omar Offendum, and poet/artist Zita Holbourne.

The General Egyptian Book Bureau in Cairo released "The Bible of the revolution and its Quran" in August 2011. It is a book of poems created by the controversial Egyptian poet Dr Hasan Teleb.
